LES MANIVELLES
is a mestizo duo conceived in 2019 by Elise Maciol and Mariano Alarcon Sturla.

Born all over the globe (Buenos Aires, Montreal, Rio de Janeiro and Paris), this duo weaves a sonic and poetic tapestry that draws from various ecosystems, transcending borders and firmly embedding itself in the contemporary popular culture and singer-songwriting community.

In 2021, Les Manivelles released their debut album - Tiám, a journey through different musical genres reflecting their aesthetic melting-pot (Latin folklore, world music, ballads, chamber music, etc.). This album received support from the Canada Council for the Arts.
During the year 2023, with the support of the Argentine National Institute of Music and the CCA, the duo produced their second album: Ikiaika.
Among their collaborators are numerous stars from the Argentine scene, as well as the Boris Vian Cohérie, and the Parisian trip-hop ambient creator and producer Kid Loco.

Following a tour in France and Germany, Les Manivelles are currently spending some time in Argentina, where they're presenting their new album and exploring new horizons, fertile soils in terms of cultural inspiration for and flourishing of their work.
